The Airbus A380 reportedly departed from Dubai at 10.20am and entered a holding pattern near DXB airport before returning to the ground.
It's believed the plane experienced a pressurization issue.
Early reports indicate it was due to a malfunctioning climate control unit but it's currently unconfirmed.
