The rapper was decidedly secretive about her pregnancy and the birth of her daughter ― in fact, she hasn’t even shared the name of the baby’s father ― but she dropped the veil in celebration of her 39th birthday.
The rapper shared a video of her daughter to Instagram with Lauryn Hill’s song “To Zion” playing in the background. The famous ode to young motherhood follows Lauryn’s decision to go against the advice of her entire family and go through with her pregnancy. It relates the happiness that she feels every time that she sees her young son and how she believes it to be a gift from God.
Foxy has revealed the name of her baby’s father. It is, in fact, Spragga Benz. She posted an interview clip of the singer praising her with the caption “Daddy.”
“Me personally as a person, I have great respect for her,” Spragga said of Foxy in the clip. “I’ve seen other sides of her that the world don’t know. I’ve seen the loving person that she is.”
