Tennis superstars Roger Federer and Serena Williams are set to play against each other for the first time ever in an inter-gender mixed doubles match.
The pair - arguably the greatest men's and women's players of all time respectively - will play against each other at the Hopman Cup competition in Perth on Tuesday. Federer's Switzerland will take on Williams and the United States during the match, and both competitors paid tribute to each other in the lead up to their historic clash.
'It's very exciting for both of us,' Federer said. 'I hope a lot of tennis fans will tune in to watch the match, because it's going to be one time and probably never again in this kind of a competition. Williams has already declared her intent to get a selfie with Federer to share on Instagram.
