The Unit Commander, Federal Road Safety Corps, Kurfi, Mr Abba Aminu, who confirmed the incident on Thursday, said the accident involved a tipper with registration number DKD 615 XA and a trailer with registration number MSW 75 XA.
He said the incident occurred in Yargamji village at 5 a.m., explaining that one of the vehicles had no headlight and was moving in darkness, thereby caused a head-on collision with the other vehicle.
Aminu said that 11 persons were involved in the accident, in which four persons died, while seven others sustained varying degrees of injuries and were rushed to General Hospital, Katsina for medical treatment.
Aminu urged motorists to always to abide by traffic rules and regulations as part of measures to reduce road accidents in the country.
